Garlic-Parmesan Pita Chips
2 whole-wheat or white pita-bread rounds (7 to 8 inches wide)
1½
tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
Heat the oven to 425 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with cooking-oil spray, and set aside.
Cut each pita round in half and, using your fingers, separate each half into two thin pieces. Brush each side with the melted butter, and stack several on top of each other. Using a pizza cutter, slice each into four wedges. Place on baking sheet. Sprinkle cheese, garlic powder and Italian seasoning evenly over bread wedges, and place pan in preheated oven. Bake 8-10 minutes or until crisp and golden brown.
Remove from oven, and cool. Serve with dip or spread of choice.
Makes 32 chips.
