Environmental fair in Palatine

The Palatine Park District environmental committee is hosting an environmental fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at the Palatine Community Center, 250 E. Wood St. The free event will feature programs and products that will help you reduce your impact on the environment. The Palatine Environmental Health Division will provide collection and recycling of compact fluorescent bulbs, prescription drugs (no controlled substances) and mercury thermometers.
