ESO to host after-hours business get-together
The Elgin Symphony Orchestra hosts its first Business After Hours event sponsored by the Elgin Area Chamber from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at the Hemmens Theatre in downtown Elgin.
This free networking event based on the ESO's 60th season theme, "Building Community through the Arts," will feature the guest artists from the ESO's 60th Season Opening Weekend, world renowned guitar quartet, The Romeros.
The Romeros will discuss how their performance of classical music has bridged many cultures, including their own Spanish heritage. Also included will be short performances by the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra and Elgin Children's Chorus, and welcoming remarks by Music Director Robert Hanson and Mayor Ed Schock.
All attendees of the Elgin Area Chamber Business After Hours hosted by the ESO are invited to a special sneak peek dress rehearsal of the ESO's 60th Season Opening Weekend: Featuring the Romeros performance at 7:15 p.m.
