Medicare is simple fix, already in place

I don't understand why President Obama and the members of Congress have let the Republicans hijack the health care bill and steer it so far from its intended destination.

I don't think I'm being naive when I suggest that the solution to the health care problem is to simply make Medicare available to anyone who wants it. End of story.

Medicare is already in place so they wouldn't need a 1,000-page bill - just amend the current Medicare law to include every American - by their choice.

I think the Democrats need to give up the hope of a bipartisan bill and move forward on a "Medicare for all" bill - and move quickly because people are DYING while Congress is debating.
