Jaguars place Williamson on IR

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed receiver Troy Williamson on injured reserve and activated rookie receiver Tiquan Underwood from their practice squad.

The team also signed receiver Nate Hughes to the practice squad. Hughes was released Monday, one day after he dropped a pass in the end zone against Arizona.

Williamson tore his right labrum against the Cardinals. He's the team's third starter on injured reserve, joining defensive linemen Reggie Hayward and Rob Meier.

Underwood, a seventh-round draft pick in April, was waived in final cuts and signed to the practice squad. Now, Jacksonville's receiving corps includes Torry Holt, Mike Sims-Walker and three rookies -- Mike Thomas, Jarett Dillard and Underwood.
