How could anyone be so stupid?
I am responding to an article regarding a dog being left in an extremely hot car while the owner(s) went inside Woodfield Mall to eat. The dog died!
What is wrong with these ignorant people? They shouldn't be allowed to have pets. What's more, what's wrong with the people who walked by that car, saw the dog in it and did nothing?
Many times I have gone to the store and seen a dog left in the car when it's hot outside. I go back in the store and give the license plate number to an employee and have them paged! If they don't answer the page I call the police.
We need stricter laws and more people to get involved. A while back I asked Rolling Meadows if they could post signs in the Jewel parking lot stating, "Do not leave pets in vehicle unattended."
My response was, we have too many signs already and we don't want "sign pollution."
Yes, I can see how too many signs is more important than a life.
I know there are many people like me who get involved but we need more of you! The people who do this should be fined, have their pets taken away or get jail time.
How cruel is this? What are these idiots thinking by taking their pets out on a hot day and leaving them in the car? Or taking them for long walks, jogging with them or worst of all pulling them along on a bike when it's 85-100 degrees outside and NO WATER!
Your pet will have a stroke and die! If you want risk having a stroke or heart attack go ahead ... but leave your poor pets who by the way have FUR at home!
Put on your heaviest coat, boots, scarf and gloves. Then wait until the temperature reaches 85-100 and go for a walk, run or bike ride! Better yet, lock yourself in your car. And don't take any water with you!
It's called COMMON SENSE you morons!
