Last week Round Lake lost to Wauconda, 17-2; Grant lost to Lakes, 28-27.
Outlook Grant is trying to avoid its first 0-4 start since 2004, when the Bulldogs opened with losses to Mundelein, Johnsburg, Antioch and Warren. They went on to finish 4-5 that year. Grant quarterbacks Justin Cokefair and Leo Minne both ran the ball effectively against Lakes, which scored 2 late touchdowns to stun the Bulldogs. Cokefair gained 140 yards on 29 carries, while Minne busted off an 84-yard touchdown run, in addition to throwing for a score. ... Round Lake has lost 19 straight games.
