Outlook Former Maine South assistant Chris Hare won't have an easy first return as Maine West's head coach. The defending Class 8A state champions haven't missed a beat as they beat Schaumburg 64-35 in the opener and 7A title contender Wheaton Warrenville South 27-9 behind Indiana-bound RB Matt Perez and QB Tyler Benz. The Warriors were hit with a disastrous 34-point second-quarter last week but rallied in the second half as Ron Gajewski threw for 259 yards and 4 TDs and Calvin Williams caught 9 passes for 82 yards.
