Kowalski fires 35 to lead Stevenson

Stevenson shot sweetly at Bittersweet.

Landon Kowalski carded a 1-under 35 to lead the Patriots' boys golf team to a 150-159 win over host Warren at Bittersweet Golf Club on Tuesday.

Reed Aren added a 36 for Stevenson, which also counted Nate Walk's 39 and Ryan Prince's 40. Greg Charman also shot a 40 for the winners.

Warren was led by Adam Guthrie's even-par 36.

Antioch d. Round Lake: At Spring Valley, the Sequoits shot a season-best 170 in recording a lopsided win over the Panthers (228).

Tom Koch of Antioch was a medalist with a personal-best 3-over 38. The Sequoits also used Ryan Dragoon's 40 and 46s by Aaron Hansen and Jeff Inman.

Anthony Saam had a 49 for Round Lake.

Girls golf

Stevenson d. Lake Zurich: At Wynstone, Stephanie Miller's 38 led the Patriots to a 185-238 win.

Nicole Crosby (48), Grace Song (49) and Molly Cizek (50) rounded out the Stevenson scoring.
