Boys soccer

Burlington Central 3, Marengo 1: The Rockets (6-2-1, 2-0) played an even first half with Big Northern East conference foe Marengo before adding the go ahead goal and insurance goal in the second half leading the Rockets to a 3-1 victory. Christopher Gousios got the Rockets on the board putting an Alejandro Nava feed into the back of the net. Kyle Reopelle then scored an unassisted goal which proved to be the eventual game winner. Erick Uribe rounded out the scoring off of a Roepelle assist. Alex Pieper recorded 2 saves in goal.

Bartlett 3, Carmel 2: The Hawks (5-2) used a well-balanced attack to earn a 3-2 victory over Carmel in the Bartlett Tournament. Eric Kennebeck started the scoring for Bartlett taking a feed from Alex Ortiz in the 21st minute and finding the back of the net. Tommy Russo and Brian Roman each added second half goals for Bartlett while Roman and Marino Zaccaro recorded 1 assist each.
