Too many drivers don't play by rules
I cannot believe that one of your editors actually printed the fifth article in the Saturday Soapbox section on Aug. 22.
Let's get another perspective.
I'm driving along, I have someplace to go, I obediently get into my spot behind all of the other cars, and 18 cars fly up around me (now they don't have to wait at all) and get in front of myself and others who have been waiting.
You want to talk about selfish? I don't know what your definition of selfish is, but the act of flying around those who have been waiting (me first, me first!) seems a lot more selfish than someone straddling the lane so those who have been waiting (remember, they were there first) can be treated fairly.
I have done this for awhile, and I will continue to do it to stop selfish people who think they're entitled (is the editor in question one of them?) to that me first school of thought.
The person who ripped off the person's mirror was the one who was wrong, and shame on you for gloating about it.
