Dist. 304 meeting moves
The Geneva Unit District 304 school board meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight - and includes a hearing on the proposed budget - has been moved to the cafeteria at Williamsburg Elementary School, 1812 Williamsburg Ave., Geneva. The move was to accommodate the large audience that's expected to attend.
Campton GOP event
The Campton Township Republican Party will have its 10th annual "Meet Your Elected Officials" event from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14 at the Old Towne Pub and Eatery, 40W290 LaFox Road in Campton Hills. Tickets are $25 a person or $40 a couple and includes a buffet and entertainment. Party officials also will be on hand to discuss issues and answer questions. Audubon fundraiser
A bird seminar at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 in Campton Hills will raise money for the Kane County Audubon Society. The event, featuring society member Jerry Hope, will be held at the Wasco Nursery & Garden Center, 41W781 Route 64. The seminar will include a walk through nursery fields to identify different species of birds. Visitors are encouraged to bring binoculars. Admission is $5. To register, call (630) 584-4424.

Misty River Music Makers, a local women's chorus, will host its "Fall Friendship and Fun" guest night at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28 at the Park National Bank, 808 W. State St., Geneva.
