Too many adults acting like kids

Yes, all the controversy about our students being able to hear from the president was completely unnecessary. But I believe some of the comments about that issue that appeared on your opinion page showed a deeper problem in this country.

One of your readers spoke of a "climate where right-wing adults are allowed to out and out lie." I have news for this person and everyone else. There have been plenty of out and out lies and crybaby behavior on both the left and right for many years.

Putting all of the blame on one side or the other does not help the problem, so let's stop that nonsense right now. It is my hope that the students who viewed the president's speech will someday become level headed adults. Because right now, we have way too many adults acting like children.
