Dann, have a female review movies
Dann Gire recently reviewed the movie, "500 Days of Summer", and gave it 4 stars (superior). Our movie group is now learning that anything Dann gives 4 stars to is usually one that we don't like. The ones that he doesn't like are the movies that we like.
I think you need to hire a woman reviewer. In fact, I am thinking of starting an organization called MABM (Mothers Against Bad Movies). How did this movie rate 4 stars? Did you really enjoy the bad language repeated multiple times, the sex between unmarried partners, etc.
Dann, we don't want our teens seeing this kind of movie. I know the movie industry rated it PG-13, but it should have been R, and in our day it would have been banned. Does anyone remember the Legion of Decency, with ratings A, A1, A11, B and Condemned? I think they need to bring it back. Women are more concerned about the morals of today and what our teens are viewing.
The movie industry and TV is definitely deteriorating. At least with TV we can write to sponsors and complain, and I do. Parents, be on the alert when you take your children to the movies or when you let them go alone because they don't make movies like they used to. The sex, language and violence is getting to be more and more excessive and offensive. When we support these types of movies, the more Hollywood will make them.
Dann, have your grandmother, mother or sister review the coming movies. Let's get a different viewpoint.
