The local branch of the American Association of University Women is hosting a meeting at 7 tonight that features small-group demonstrations and table discussions on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Skype at the St. Charles Library, 1 S. Catch Geneva 'Stars'
The "Dancing with the Geneva Stars" fundraiser that debuted last year as a charitable event for the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission in partnership with the Geneva Academic Foundation and will be back for round two Feb. 6 at Eagle Brook Country Club. Six couples will make up the dance teams that will vie for votes that equate to monetary donations to the organizations. The couples will prepare by taking a series of lessons at State Street Dance Studio in Geneva. The couples will be announced at the entertainment stage on Fourth Street at 7 p.m. Saturday during the Festival of the Vine in downtown Geneva. Information about voting and ticket sales will be available on the Cultural Arts Web site at genevarts.org this fall, but those who may be interested in sponsoring the event can contact event Chairwoman Carolyn Hill at (630) 232-8313.

DivorceCare offered
Batavia United Methodist Church, 8 N. Batavia Ave. (Route 31), starts a new free DivorceCare group at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. The 13 weekly sessions are a recovery seminar and support group. Child care will provided through Sunday school. Topics include anger, loneliness, depression, new relationships, children and forgiveness. A licensed clinical counselor will lead the group. Campton GOP event
The Campton Township Republican Party will have its 10th annual "Meet Your Elected Officials" event from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Old Towne Pub and Eatery, 40W290 La Fox Road in Campton Hills. Tickets are $25 a person or $40 a couple and includes a buffet and entertainment. Party officials also will be on hand to discuss issues and answer questions. Call (630) 443-0974.
Memorial PA at Geneva
Burgess Field at Geneva High School has a new public-address system, purchased with donations made in memory of John McNeil. McNeil was a Geneva football player who died in February during his senior year. The system was dedicated Friday.
