Republicans riding ship of fools

So the radical right, who for the most part are conservative Republicans, object to the President of the United States giving a stay-in-school-and-study-hard speech to the nation's school children. (It was OK for Bush and Reagan to do the same thing though even though Reagan's was almost pure political rhetoric).

Brainwashing? Political Indoctrination of 6-year-olds?

What kind of a mind it must be that can conjure up these aberrations from an unpublished speech?

Six- and seven- year-olds simply do not respond to "your country." They respond to a personalized approach such as "your president."

I do have a great deal of sympathy for the large number of Americans who align themselves with the Lincoln and Goldwater principles. They do not support the Democrat's principles but what are they do when their party has become a refuge for the ridiculous.
