Antioch Library offers computer courses

The Antioch Public Library District conducts free monthly computer courses that are open to the public. Tuxedos for Tails

The Save-A-Pet Adoption Center in Grayslake hosts its 23rd annual "Tuxedos for Tails" dinner and auction fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 12 at The Stonegate, 2401 W. Higgins Road, in Hoffman Estates. The silent auction starts at 5:30 p.m. A four-course dinner is set for 7:30 p.m. Music and dancing will fill out the evening. Tickets are $100. Health fair in Libertyville

A family health and safety fair will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 19 at Highland Middle School, 310 W. Rockland Road, in Libertyville. The free fair is sponsored by state Sen. Dan Duffy and state Rep. Ed Sullivan Jr. Participants can learn about bicycle safety, child safety seat checks, flu prevention, college savings programs and more. Lake Zurich hosts Fall Fest

The Lake Zurich Parks and Recreation Department will put on its first Fall Fest from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. Admission is $5 per person. There will be hayrides and a DJ from 1 to 3 p.m. Children's games, crafts and scarecrow building are also scheduled and included in the admission price. Food items will be available for purchase. Kelly Miller Circus in town

The Kelly Miller Circus is coming to the Westfield Hawthorn Shopping Center in Vernon Hills. Performances will be at 2 and 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, and 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21. Tickets are $10 per adult and $6 per child and are available at: the Westfield Hawthorn Concierge, Vernon Hills Park District Sullivan Community Center, 635 Aspen Drive; Vernon Hills village hall, 290 Evergreen Drive; and, Main Street Smoke House on Milwaukee Avenue, in downtown Libertyville. Tickets at the door are $14 for adults and $10 for children. Children under 2 are free. The event is a fundraiser for the Vernon Hills Lions Club. Call (847) 367-5461 for more information.
