Summer's not over quite yet -- there's still some fests to be had

You might be thinking that summer's over, but there's still one more day to enjoy the festival experience. Here's what's going on today:

Buffalo Grove Days, Buffalo Grove Village Campus, Raupp Boulevard and Lake-Cook Road, Buffalo Grove: Runs 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Food tent, beer garden, carnival, entertainment, arts and crafts and a parade. Free admission. Visit vbg.org. (847) 459-2500.

Fox Valley Folk Music and Storytelling Festival, Island Park, Routes 25 and 38, Geneva: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eight stages, more than 30 national acts featuring traditional and modern music, storytelling, dance and topical song workshops, food and more. Maple Park Fun Fest, Main Street, Maple Park: American Legion all-you-can-eat breakfast, 7 a.m. to noon.

Naperville's Last Fling, Downtown Naperville, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parade begins at 10 a.m. at Naperville North High School, 899 N. Mill St. Free shuttle; free admission. Tickets required for concerts. (630) 961-4143 or lastfling.org.

Schaumburg Septemberfest, Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center, Schaumburg Road and Summit Drive, Schaumburg: Arts and crafts show, carnival, entertainment on three stages, Taste of Schaumburg, bingo, nightly fireworks, parade and the Miss Septemberfest competition. 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Free admission.
