Crystal Lake Dairy Queen robbed, police hunt for suspect

Crystal Lake Police are hunting for a man accused of an armed robbery at Dairy Queen at 35 Berkshire, officials said.

Police said a thin male in late teens or early twenties, standing about 6-feet, 2-inches tall, walked into the Dairy Queen at about 9 p.m. Thursday night, showed the clerk a handgun then demanded cash from the employee.

The clerk handed over money, officials said, then the suspect fled the scene on foot in an eastern direction along Berkshire.

The suspect wore a dark mask, a plain blue hooded sweatshirt and light khaki pants.

Crystal Lake Police are requesting anyone with information to contact the Crystal Lake Police Department at (815) 356-3620 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 762-STOP (7867).

Crime Stoppers does pay cash rewards for information leading to the arrest of any individual.
