Broncos say Marshall isn't on trading block

Moving to quell rumors, Denver coach Josh McDaniels said Wednesday the team had not held any talks involving a trade of suspended Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall.

"We're looking forward to having Brandon back on Sept. 6 and starting our preparations for Cincinnati with him," McDaniels said.

McDaniels suspended Marshall for the rest of the preseason Friday for detrimental conduct stemming for insubordinate actions during a practice.

Marshall has clashed with the organization since the team rebuffed his overtures for a new contract and did not act on his request for a trade.

CFL team say no thanks: Adam "Pacman" Jones won't be playing for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The CFL team said it has ended its pursuit of the controversial ex-NFL cornerback, one day after multiple reports said Jones would play for the team. He is a former first-round draft pick of the Titans twice suspended by the NFL for off-field incidents - including for the entire 2007 season - and was released in February by the Cowboys.
