Madigan, Cullerton should also resign

Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan and Illinois Senate President John Cullerton should resign along with trustees over the University of Illinois admissions scandal.

If I were a University of Illinois Trustee, I would resign but only if they also resigned. Neither had the decency to even appear before the Illinois Admissions Review Commission when requested to do so. By passing on requests for admission they appear as recommendations. The ethical way they should have handled this would have been to simply say that it would be improper for them to do this and leave it at that.

It is no wonder Lisa Madigan does not want to run for certain higher offices during the next elections. Her father is likely to continue getting exposed in the next few months in a way that cannot help her own political future.
