What does Mt. Prospect think of video gaming?
Mount Prospect officials are looking for feedback before talking about video gaming on Sept. 8.
In July, Gov. Patrick Quinn signed approved a video gaming bill that would affect about 35 Mount Prospect establishments. However, the bill also allows municipalities to opt out of allowing video gaming by passing an ordinance or ballot referendum.
The Mount Prospect village board will discuss video gaming at 7 p.m. on Sept. 8 at a committee of the whole meeting at village hall, 50 S. Emerson Street.
Mount Prospect residents can go to www.mountprospect.org and complete a survey on whether the village should allow video gaming.
