Hopeful for common ground

I was among a group of constituents who met with U.S. Rep Peter Roskam recently. We knew that we were ideologically very far apart before we scheduled the meeting, but once face-to-face we discussed our differences respectfully.

I do not know if we changed anyone's mind, but I do know that we can share our different facts and perceptions without hostility. I am now even more hopeful that we will find common ground to achieve meaningful health care/insurance reform this year.
