Motorola to hold event on Android phones next month

Motorola Inc., preparing to debut its new phones based on Google Inc.'s Android software, will hold an event Sept. 10 to announce details about the handsets.

The phone maker, the largest in the U.S., will release more information in the coming days, said Kristine Mulford, a spokeswoman with the Schaumburg-based company.
