Reading their U.S.-issued Korans

I trust Diane Niesman took the time to read two other letters (and view the timely political cartoons) which appeared in the same Aug. 15 Fence Post as her letter, Both Gordon Soderlund and Carl Palash had obviously done their homework and research well rather than just spouting trite clichés.

I would only ask Ms. Niesman if she has seen the Acorn demonstrations on whatever news outlet it is that she watches. Talk about "organized crazies."

I have to say also that Dick Durbin's comparing Guantanamo to a gulag (and our military to those of Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot's regimes) is nothing less than treasonous. And, just what is it we know now we didn't know then? That three detainees were water boarded (shudder) between eating three squares, reading their U.S.-issued Korans and praying on like-issued prayer rugs?
