Kane set to appear in Buffalo court

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Chicago Blackhawks star forward Patrick Kane is scheduled to appear in Buffalo city court for arraignment on misdemeanor charges that he beat up a cab driver over a fare dispute.
Kane's appearance before judge Thomas Amodeo today at 1 p.m. CDT comes a day after a grand jury indicted the player on misdemeanor assault and theft charges. The grand jury dismissed a more serious felony charge of second-degree robbery.
Kane and his cousin, James Kane, were arrested Aug. 9 after cabbie Jan Radecki told police they attacked him when he said he didn't have 20 cents in change for the fare. James Kane was indicted on the same charges and is also due in court.
The cab driver had bruises and broken glasses.
