'Kung Fu Panda'

See a screening of the family film "Kung Fu Panda" on the side of the Harris Bank in Palatine. Seating is available on Station Street, just east of the building. Bring a chair for seating and an FM radio. Popcorn and lemonade will be available for purchase.

Glen Ellyn celebrates the arts

More than 50 artists display and sell their work at the Glen Ellyn Festival of the Arts. Event also includes music, theatrical performances, children's activities, food and more.

Sundaes on Sunday

The Naper Settlement historic museum village is giving free ice cream sundaes to guests for its Settlement Sundays event. Load up your sundae with your favorite toppings. Then join in old-fashioned games such as sack races. The event offers a variety of family-friendly, hands-on activities and presentations, while the sundaes are served.

Dogs on parade

The Elgin Kennel Club presents its All Breed Dog Show obedience and rally trials. Bring a chair for seating. No unentered dogs are allowed. Food is available for purchase.

"Glass + Steel"

See the new "Glass + Steel" exhibit at the Elmhurst Art Museum. The exhibit focuses on the freshness and energy of mid-20th century designs, and is the first exhibition in the museum's "Struktur: Architecture & Design" series.
