• Taillights and side lights from more than 100 trailers were reported stolen Friday at Chicago Trailer Pool, 9N586 Route 25, Elgin Township. The lights, valued at $12,000, were discovered missing after the company recently moved from Bensenville to Kane County. The business told police there is "no obvious market" for the four-inch lights, which were are "easily removed," according to a police report.

• A "chunky meat substance, possibly liver," was discovered Wednesday covering the interior and exterior of a mailbox on the 50W700 block of Scott Road, Big Rock Township, according to a police report.

• An iPod and an RCA DVD player with two miniature television screens were reported stolen Sunday from a vehicle on the 5N300 block of Paddock Lane, Campton Township. The items were valued at $360 total, according to a police report.
