Glen Ellyn celebrates the arts

More than 50 artists display and sell their work in a variety of media at the Glen Ellyn Festival of the Arts. Other festival highlights include local students and professional performers in music, dance and theatrical productions. Food vendors provide a wide array for food.

In a pickle

Learn the 19th century art of pickling at the Pickling Parties event at the Durant House Museum in St. Charles. See how pickles and corn relish are made in demonstrations in the 1843 Hearth Room and the 1880s Victorian Kitchen. Children attending the event will each get to take home a jar of pickles.

From 'M*A*S*H' to Elgin

William Christopher, best known as Father Mulcahy on television's "M*A*S*H," stars in "Church Basement Ladies," a touring comedy about rambunctious ladies working in a church's basement.
