Cutler watch: Jay's sights set short

Jay Cutler's 7-for-12 performance in seven-on-seven Monday wasn't anything special, mostly short stuff, but he did connect on a couple impressive passes. There was a long toss to Devin Aromashodu outside the numbers and later, from just inside the red zone, a perfectly timed flag route for a TD barely in bounds to tight end Greg Olsen.

The 11-on-11 team work was also conservative, with several runs mixed in, and Cutler completed 10 of 13 passes, mostly underneath stuff. On Cutler's one long completion, Corey Graham had tight coverage on Aromashodu, but the perfectly placed pass resulted in a big gain and praise fom the wide receiver, who said certain attributes about the quarterback stand out.

"Just his work ethic and wanting everything to be perfect," Aromashodu said. "That's what you have to want. You have to strive to be pefect. He wants everything on point, and until we get it right, he's not satisfied."
