Two charged with armed robbery in West Chicago
A Dolton man and a West Chicago teenager have been charged with armed robbery in connection with an incident in West Chicago, authorities said Tuesday.
Police said they were called at 1:05 p.m. Monday for a report of an armed robbery in the 100 block of Turner Court.
The victim told police he was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached by two people, one of whom displayed a handgun and demanded money. After taking the man's cash the pair fled on foot.
Police said they apprehended the suspects and identified them as Lavell Williams, 21, of the 14000 block of Kenwood Avenue in Dolton and a 16-year-old West Chicago resident.
Both suspects are in custody.
