More charges filed in suburban auto burglaries
New charges in Vernon Hills have been filed against two men charged late last month with burglary in Buffalo Grove.
Frank R. Roemisch, 20, of the 1200 block of Welling Court South in Buffalo Grove, and Richard Cornwall, 17, of the 200 block of Stone Fence in Vernon Hills, have been charged with burglary to unlocked vehicles parked in driveways, said Sgt. Pat Zimmerman of the Vernon Hills Police Department.
The two face two charges in Vernon Hills and three more will be filed, said Zimmerman. Cornwall will also be charged with possession of stolen goods in connection with items taken from a vehicle in Libertyville, said the officer.
These are in addition to two charges of burglary against Roemisch and one of burglary and attempted burglary against Cornwall in Buffalo Grove.
Buffalo Grove police found the two after receiving a call from a resident early in the morning of July 31. Vernon Hills and Libertyville police departments questioned the two about similar incidents in their villages.
The two were released on bond, said Zimmerman.
