Israel should honor U.S. request

Barack Obama has requested that Israel stop construction of a certain settlement on Palestinian land in the West Bank. In response Prime Minister Netenyahu has, in so many words, told the U.S. to jump off.

How dare he! How dare any Israeli refuse a request from the United States. The United States has gifted Israel with hundreds of billions in military hardware and economic aid over several decades.

We have also backed Israel diplomatically even at our own detriment each time.

Let's say the same to Israel and threaten their annual charity package in order to force them into doing the right thing for the U.S. now and then.

While we're at it, let's say the same thing to the Israel lobby.
