Marines plan golf outing

The Fox Valley Marine Corps League is seeking sponsorships and registration for its annual golf outing at noon Wednesday, Aug. 5 at Tamarack Golf Course, 24032 Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville. Sponsorships are available from $100 for a hole sponsor to $1,000 for a presenting sponsor. Reservations for golf and dinner cost $95; dinner only is $50. Registration is now open for the Fox Valley Park District's Creative Play Preschool programs for children ages three to five. Classes begin in early September with a variety of class levels and times at the Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora, and the Eola Community Center, 555 S. Eola Road, Aurora. Options include school programs for two, three or five days a week, with each session lasting for three months. Children must be completely potty trained. Records to be destroyed

Geneva School District 304 will destroy special education records from the 2003-04 school year of students who graduated, transferred or were dismissed from special services. If a parent or student wants those records, call the Student Services Office before Monday, Aug. 31 at (630) 463-3061. Copies of the rules and regulations that govern student records are available for inspection at each school site and at the district office. Special education records can include reports of psychological and social work evaluations, multidisciplinary planning conferences, annual reviews, copies of individualized education programs and other relevant information.

Elburn plans craft fair

Crafters, farmers, flea marketeers, charity raffles and home-based business vendors are sought for the Aug. 21 to 23 craft show, flea market and sidewalk sale in downtown Elburn at Lions Park. For an application, call Cece at (630) 365-8987. The flea market and sidewalk sale are Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21 and 22, and the craft sale is Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 22 and 23. The sales are sponsored by the Elburn Chamber of Commerce.
