Cutler stokes crowd completing passes to Hester, Bennet

Cutler Watch:

Jay Cutler got the huge Saturday night crowd stoked early when he completed back-to-back deep sideline routes to Devin Hester down the left sideline and to Earl Bennett on the opposite side of the field as wide receivers went 1-on-1 with cornerbacks. Both passes traveled about 50 yards in the air and hit their intended targets in stride.

In 7-on-7 drills, Cutler completed 9 of 12 passes, but a deep post to Devin Hester was thwarted on a spectacular diving interception by second-year corner Zackary Bowman. The former Nebraska Cornhusker has been one of the early stars of camp, while filing in as a starter for Charles Tillman, who's rehabbing after back surgery.

Cutler completed 10 of 16 passes in 11-on-11 situations, but in his first sequence threw the ball directly into the outstretched hands of Brian Urlacher, who took it all the way back for a touchdown. Later, Cutler got some revenge when he found Greg Olsen on a deep sideline route behind Urlacher, as Danieal Manning arrived late.

Earl Bennett (6 catches) was Cutler's favorite receiver Saturday night.
