Antioch Proof of Residency event:
Antioch Elementary District 34 hosts its annual Proof of Residency event, Aug. 12-14, at Antioch Upper Grade School, 800 Highview, Antioch. All district families are required to prove residency in person for their student(s) for the 2009-10 school year. Event hours will vary depending on the day. Visit antioch34.com, for a list of accepted proof of residency documentation and hours. The accepted proofs of residency have been revised from last year. New time for Fox Lake village board meetings:
Today's Fox Lake village board meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. under a new and improved format. Committee meetings have been incorporated into the village board meeting to improve efficiency and communication between trustees and the public. The meetings are still held in the council chambers at 66 Thillen Drive on the second, and fourth Tuesdays of every month.
Teacher appointed as music organization president:
Grayslake North High School's choral director, Paul Nielsen, has been appointed Illinois Music Educators Association (IMEA) District 7 President. IMEA is the state level division of the National Association for Music Education. As president, Nielsen will provide leadership for the region's activities. "It is a great honor to be appointed to this post," Nielson said.
