WingFest returns on Sunday

It's time once again for the Woodfield Area Children's Organization's annual WingFest at the Alumni Club in Schaumburg.

This is always the perfect mix of a great time and a great cause.

While enjoying and comparing different styles of chicken wings from nine local restaurants, you'll be helping WACO raise the money it needs for programs helping needy kids and their families throughout the area.

The event runs from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Alumni Club, 871 E. Algonquin Road in Schaumburg.

WingFest is held rain or shine, but you must be at least 21 years old to attend. Jazz and blues music will be by the Q Balls.

The cost is $20 per person and includes two drink tickets.

All participants will get to vote on who has the best wings in the Northwest suburbs.

Participating restaurants will be Clementi's, Hooters, Moretti's, Dover Straits, Frato's, Finn McCool's, Rosati's, Sponge Reef and Chicago Prime.
