Tee off at golf outing to help WINGS programs
WINGS (Women In Need Growing Stronger) will host its third annual golf outing Monday, July 27, at the exclusive Wynstone Golf Club in North Barrington. Presenting sponsor, Fortune Brands, is offering a unique gift for each golfer in attendance, a pair of FootJoy DryJoy golf shoes. WINGS invites expert and novice golfers to take part in an exciting day of golf. Golfers will have the chance to win $25,000 for a Hole in One, golf clubs and merchandise for fun golf challenge games and special refreshments at the Ruth's Chris Steak House 19th Hole.
Golfers will convene at 10:30 a.m. for registration and practice on the green. Lunch will be served before heading out with a shotgun start. Only 120 golfers will be accepted in the field. They will come together at the end of the day for dinner and a silent auction filled at the clubhouse overlooking the magnificent course.
The proceeds from the event will directly support the mission of WINGS, to provide comprehensive services for victims of domestic violence and their children. With emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, career services and children's services, WINGS provides a caring and compassionate response to the needs of families.
"It is truly a community effort to support a great cause and to help people in need while at the same time having a day of relaxing golf on a beautiful course" states honorary chair Mark Roche, Wynstone member and chief financial officer of Fortune Brands.
Foursomes and individual golfers are welcome. For information about WINGS or to register for the outing, call (847)-519-7820 or visit wingsprogram.com.
