For all

Summer Storytime: The final Summer Storytime will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 22. All ages are welcome. Registration is required.

For youth

'I Spy' Week: "I Spy" Week will be July 27-Aug. 1. Drop in to the library and join the fun while hunting for all the things in the popular "I Spy" display boxes and posters.

Gymboree: The final Gymboree Program for youth will be at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 11 Gymboree's "play-and-learn" style classes encourage development through play. Using play-based activities, children will have the opportunity to strengthen their minds and bodies. This class is strictly limited to 20 people total, including both adults and children.

For tweens

'Tween Crafts session: A 'Tween Crafts Session will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, for those in fifth through eighth grades. The group will work with shrink plastic, fusible beads and use a button maker to create personalized key chains.

Wii tournament: The final summer Wii Tournament will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, July 30. These tournaments are open to players entering fifth through eighth grade.

For teens

Teen Advisory Board: Incoming freshman through senior high school students are invited to learn more about the Teen Advisory Board at the TAB Information Night at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20. This 15-member group serves as the voice of the teen population, sharing their ideas and opinions about library offerings. TAB members also volunteer to help with library programs (Earth Day, Summer Reading), create their own programs (Nerd-Off) and are the artists behind the library's colorful window displays. Join members of the 2008-09 TAB to learn more about the group and pick up an application for the 2009-10 board. TAB members do not have to live in Fox River Grove.

Summer Reading Club: Participants who have signed up for the Summer Reading Club, "Read On The Wild Side," are reminded to stop into the library to report the books they have read. Club members who complete their reading goals by Aug. 1 will be entered in one of three raffles: Kids (age 3 through eighth grade), high school or adult raffles. Summer Reading Clubbers ages 3 through eighth grade are also invited to help name the plush tiger mascot by voting at the Ask Me Desk. Everyone voting for the winning name will be entered in a drawing to win the tiger at the Summer Reading Club Picnic Saturday, Aug. 15, at Lions Park.

Variety show: The Teen Advisory Board will produce a Summer Reading Club themed variety show for all ages at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 29.

Movie: A free movie showing of Walt Disney's "The Jungle Book" will be at noon Friday, July 31. All ages are invited to join man-cub Mowgli, wise panther Bagheera, and the other inhabitants of the wild jungle as they learn about the true meaning of friendship.

For adults

Coupon Club: The Coupon Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. the last Saturday of the month in July and August. The group will review the concepts taught at the Super Coupon class in January and share our own ideas for saving with coupons. Bring your tips and tricks, along with weekly coupon fliers or coupons, you would like to trade or offer to other club members.

Friends of the Library: The Friends of the Library will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4. New members and interested individuals are always welcome.
