Trifle is simple, yet delicious
It's time again for a Desperation Trademark Trifle!
Over the years, you - our cherished readers - have told us that your recipe collection of desperate trifles has been stained, thoroughly enjoyed, requested by friends and sometimes misplaced.
(That's when we especially hear from you, as we scramble to e-mail replacement recipes.)
We often marvel that such a simple dessert commands this much attention. But once it's layered in a glass trifle bowl, what would otherwise be a mishmash of cake, pudding, fruit and cream becomes a glorious display of summer's bounty.
We always think the trifle we're currently working on - be it strawberry or banana or cookies and cream - is the best one. That's because they're always terrific. However, that said, today's trifle is hands down our favorite - at least until we dream up our next one.
Peaches-and-Cream Trifle with juicy fruit fresh from the orchard. What's not to love?
