Miami of Ohio for Simon

Kelsey Simon, who will be a 6-foot-2 senior for Stevenson's girl basketball team next season, has made a verbal commitment to play for Miami University in Ohio.

Simon will be a three-year varsity player for the Patriots, who will be under the direction of new head coach and IHSA Hall of Famer Tom Dineen this winter.

"Kelsey is a great player to begin my career at Stevenson," said Dineen, who coached his share of Division I players in the past 29 seasons at Buffalo Grove, where he won the 2000 Class AA state title. " I know the staff at Miami and I really believe this is a good fit for Kelsey as well as Miami."
