Streamwood man gets five years for sexually assaulting teen
A Streamwood man received five years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a minor.
Antonio Lopez, of the 1700 block of Nippert Drive, pleaded guilty to criminal sexual assault Monday in a Rolling Meadows courtroom, said Assistant State's Attorney Mike Gerber.
The 39-year-old Lopez is a U.S. citizen and had no prior criminal background, Gerber said.
The incident took place in December 2007 in Arlington Heights. The victim was 13 years old at the time, Gerber said.
Arlington Heights police arrested Lopez in January 2009. Lopez's DNA matched evidence taken from the victim, Gerber said. Additionally, Lopez made a full admission to police and an assistant state's attorney, Gerber said.
