Police search for two men in Hoffman Estates armed robbery

Hoffman Estates police are searching for two men who robbed a man over the weekend using a handgun.

The robbery happened around 11:44 p.m. Friday on the 600 block of Bode Circle, police said. A Streamwood man had exited his car on his way to pick up family when the suspects approached him and one aimed a gun at his chest and demanded money, police said.

The victim gave the men his wallet, an undisclosed amount of money and his cell phone before they ran away. The victim then drove from the scene, police said. There were no injuries.

Police described the suspects as black males in their early 20s both wearing dark bandannas and black pants. One weighed about 175 pounds and wore a white-hooded sweatshirt with the bandanna covering his face; the other weighed about 150 pounds and wore a black-hooded sweatshirt, but the bandanna was draped around his neck and not over his face.
