Wealthy shift tax burden to others
Key House Democrats decided to increase taxes on the wealthy to help pay for health-care legislation, at the same time they sought to quell concerns among moderate and conservative lawmakers about other elements of the bill atop President Barack Obama's domestic agenda.
The administration and the president must tell the American people what they mean when they refer to the wealthy and why is it that the haves must pay for the have nots. The administration must examine its ways of behaving, its ideas, its prejudices. They want to live to a large extent in the past and rely on the achievements of others, instead of fashioning their own achievements. They are attempting to safeguard the poor against the uncertainties of the marketplace with price controls, protectionism, and laws for the redistribution of wealth. They forget that the ruling elites are able to use their position to feather off their own nest by passing on the high tax burden to the middle class and the poor.
It is best to introduce a fair tax system to protect everyone's interest and create a win, win situation for all the American citizens.
