Streamwood man charged with damaging five cars at Metra station
A Cook County judge set bond at $50,000 on Saturday for a Streamwood man charged with damaging five vehicles parked in the Metra station parking lot in the 1900 block of Lake Street in Hanover Park
Police charged Victor Campos, 38, of the 200 block of Villa, with unlawful damage of a vehicle and trespass to a vehicle after witnesses say he broke the driver's side windows of the cars, said Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Jim Pontrelli. In one case, Campos entered the vehicle but did not take anything, Pontrelli said.
Campos has no criminal background. Prosecutors had no estimate as to the cost of the damage to the cars.
