A great egret was hunting for fish near a culvert tube below the spillway of the pond in June at Schaumburg Municipal Center. Recent heavy rains washed fish down the culvert tube and this bird grabbed them.

We were on our way home from a Fourth of July dinner party. Just at sunset, the fog arrived. We passed this pretty horse farm in Barrington Hills as it intensified. I asked my husband to stop the car so I could catch this shot before the sun diminished completely.
