Arlington Heights police catch man after foot chase
An Elburn man who fled from Arlington Heights police after a traffic stop has been charged with resisting arrest.
Justin R. Grimes, 21, of the 400 block of Richmond Avenue, Elburn was stopped Tuesday night after police said he disregarded a red light at Arlington Heights and Algonquin roads.
Police said Grimes ran from the car and was chased through the Holiday Inn parking lot and across Algonquin Road into the Motel 6 parking lot, where he was found hiding under a parked vehicle.
He was also charged with driving while his license was suspended and was found to have outstanding warrants from Kane County and the city of Batavia.
His court date is set for Aug. 4.
Two passengers in the car were released without charges.
