Peck Farm showcases photographer's work
Art in the Park: Head out to Peck Farm Park Interpretive Center anytime in July to enjoy the work of Susan Wagoner.
Wagoner is best known for her love of photography, which started as a young child.
"I love birds, and it is a thrill to photograph them - both frustrating and satisfying when everything comes together for that farmable shot; good lighting, good positive (close), correct camera settings and quick reflexes. Much of her love of photography stemmed from her father, who was an amateur photographer and nature lover.
Enjoy 30 pieces of Wagoner's work throughout July at the Peck Farm Park Interpretive Center, 4038 Kaneville Road in Geneva. For hours and more information, call (630) 262-8244.
Summer concert: The kickoff of the concert season will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 8, featuring Mr. Myers Band. The Oberweis Ice Cream Social begins at 6:30 p.m. Harris Bank will be on site to present the Geneva Park District with the sponsorship check for the 2009 Summer Concert & Movie in the Park Series. Upcoming concerts include Soda Band on Wednesday, July 15, and Members Only on Wednesday, July 22.

Movie in the Park: The upcoming Movie in the Park dates are "High School Musical 3: Senior Year," on Thursday, July 16, at Sunset Park, 710 Western Ave., and "WALL-E" on Thursday, Aug. 20, at Wheeler Park, off Route 31 and North Street. The movies are free and begin at dusk. In case of inclement weather, they will be shown at Geneva Community Center.
