Day of polo to benefit Oswego arts commission

The Blackberry Polo Club will open its gates at noon Sunday, July 19, for a day of polo, picnicking, Clydesdale wagon rides and fun. The event will benefit the Oswego Cultural Arts Commission.

The day will feature the championship polo match, a tailgate picnic contest, free rides on the wagon drawn by the famous Clydesdales, and numerous "gate" prizes.

Tickets may be purchased at the Oswego village hall, 100 Parkers Mill, or by calling (630) 554-3618.

Tickets purchased in advance are $10 per person or $30 a carload. The cost at the gate is $15 and $35. The admission charge includes a chance to win a "gate" prize.

The Blackberry Polo Club is on Bliss Road, half-mile south on Main Street, Batavia.
