Fox River Grove Memorial Library events

Fox River Grove Memorial Library, 407 Lincoln Ave., offers a variety of programs and events. For information, visit frgml.lib.il.us or call (847) 639-2274. Registration is required, unless otherwise noted.

Summer Storytime: The program will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays through July 22. All ages are welcome and registration is required.

Cartooning program: A cartooning program for children in second through fifth grades will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9. Cartoonist V.G. Myers will show you how to have fun with cartoons in this one-hour program.

Gymboree: The Gymboree Program for youth will continue at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays, July 14 and Aug. 11. Gymboree's "play and learn" style classes encourage development through play. Using play-based activities, children will have the opportunity to strengthen their minds and bodies. This class is limited to 20 people total, including both adults and children.

Bead Boss: Students in fifth through 12th grades are invited to a Bead Boss program at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 7. Participants will choose a pre-made kit from a set of samples and make their own piece of wearable art. Samples are on display at the library. This program requires a fee, $7 to $15, depending on the selected kit, that must be paid at registration.

Movie Matinee: Fifth- to eighth-graders are invited to a middle school movie matinee at 1 p.m. Friday, July 10. "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" will be shown.
